And they're off!!!
Off and heading to Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the annual pilgrimage to The EAA Airventure. It is the, no THE airshow and convention for pilots, airplane enthusiasts and curious bystanders. A week long adventure with planes of all types all over the place. Workshops on welding, building wings, composites, medical information, new happenings in general aviation, and so much more. Dave and Philip left this morning for the 5th year running to camp and enjoy the sites. Should be a wonderful week for them. They have a new tent to withstand the torrential rains and storms that seem to happen every year (a major part of why us girls DON'T go with them, eeewww!) and they even have a screened "patio" for the evenings or when they need a break in the heat of the day.
Kathryn and I will have a girls week! We always have fun! So if the blog begins to have a manly flavor to it with lots of photos of airplanes and such, you will know Dave has borrowed it back to show us what they are doing!
Ross popped in for a few hours this weekend from St. Louis where he continues his training for Chautauqua (got the spelling finally!). Then he headed up to Muncie to spend some time with Abby since he is not sure how long it will be before he will be able to come back.
Congrats to niece Lauren!!! First big job out of college!! We are proud of you!!!
Other than that, not much new here. It is kind of the swirl before the calm before the storm of the Fall activities!!
