Right now I am baking pies and preping food for tomorrow, it smells yummy here! Yesterday Mr. R and I went on a road trip to French Lick, IN to peek at the newly opened West Baden Springs Hotel and the French Lick Springs Hotel. The West Baden Hotel was amazing! It opened in 1901 and is one of the largest free standing domes in the world. The renovations began in 1998 and they just opened in May. Wow, I want to go back and stay there! We had a wonderful lunch and were tempted by the day spa to stay and get a massage, but, we needed to get back, some other time!!

We took a shuttle over to the French Lick Springs hotel, where we have many memories of staying with the kids, to see what they had done to it. Other than adding a casino and covering over the really cool pool that had a moveable domed roof, there had not been many remarkable changes.

It was a fun day even though it was rainy and grey! It was just nice to take a little time away from the regular everyday things!!!
