Goodbye...Hello.....

Today we made the transition from the hospital to the rehab center. The hospital staff and services were excellent, not to mention a beautiful place to look at – top photo. We are grateful for their good service. I followed the transport van over to the rehab center and settled Mom in. The rehab center is pictured below. It is a sprawl of interconnected buildings with central locations for services and patient areas. We met first with the physical therapy department and then some of the nursing staff. She shares a room with another women patient named Madeline. We took a walk outside her room in the hall to look at a large birdcage with several species of finch and doves. After my trip to Walmart for some incidentals, I finally left her about 9:30 pm to rest for the night. Tomorrow (Saturday) I hope to cruise around the facility with her and eat a meal or two in the dinning room to help her get comfortable with the place. Thank you all for your many prayers today for the safe and smooth transition

we wish you a speedy recovery Viva! The early girlz is a cult that Lisa is an officer in up at her home town in Tallahassee. We all know how much she loves you, her family and those in her life. She needs us, we need her. Our job - which we have not succeeded at - is to wear her out - joints, parts, fittings - so that she can have this cool surgery too and recover with you, keeping you company and sharing the remote control! The problem is - she won't wear down! Get better fast - we rejoice with you and hope to see you soon - and anytime you'd like to go on a run with us - we have a buggy we can bring you along with us. Godspeed!
